I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

The Real Tragedy

Hello Friends and Haters,

I feel I must comment on what is going on these days.

I was deeply saddened by the recent shooting in that elementary school.  It really came close to home for me as I have a six year old going to school.  It is unfortunate that something like that can happen... period.

However,  this nation is on an emotional roller coaster right now because of that.
This is not the first time something like this has happened nor will it be the last no matter what new laws are passed.  People are mad and they want someone to blame.  Well, the people to blame are both DEAD.  So they're going after every law abiding gun owner in America.

I'm not going to go into the details about how if the school staff were armed they may have stopped or at least downsized the situation.  That is what I believe but it is of no consequence now.  You can't change the past.

Instead I would like to first say my point of view on gun control and then what I am going to do about it.

Guns don't kill people.  People kill people.  Whether they have a gun or not, people kill people.  Criminals don't obey laws.  That is what make them criminals.  Passing a law against guns won't have a positive effect on that.  If anything, it will HELP the black market.  Without equal means to defend ourselves, law abiding citizens will not stand a chance against these criminals.

The second amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

This law was made so that we shall never again be oppressed by a tyrannical government.

What this means is:  THE PEOPLE SHALL NOT BE DISARMED

Therefor, when the president uses his power to enact new gun control laws,
I WILL NOT COMPLY.

or, when the governor passes new gun control laws:
I WILL NOT COMPLY.

I will not register or surrender any guns.

When they come to my house, my guns won't be buried or hidden.
I will tell them NO.

If they arrest me, so be it.  I don't think there are enough cells in this country to hold us all.  I hope that day never comes.  I hope the law enforcers of this country stand up and say WE WILL NOT DISARM THE PEOPLE.

That is all,
Dave
